Great points all! I suppose now is as good a time as ever to mend the
branching of DDC over the past 125+ years. As we continue to seek
international standards for representing the complexity of published works
it should be less ethnocentric and more open. The lack of support from W3C
and Dublin Core isn't doing us any favors either, though the Library Linked
Data Incubator was helpful.
