[Open-data-census] A different type of city census

Hi all,

I'd like to share a project reusing the opendatacensus codebase for a
slightly different kind of census here in Taiwan. The test site is at
http://local.data.g0v.tw/ and code is at
http://github.com/g0v/localdata

I should probably remove the text about this being okfn census
project, as it's not part of the global census. But do people think
using the okfn logo in the navbar is appropriate?

The idea is to collect status of specific datasets from local
government, and assess how well the central agency in charge of the
business aggregates this data already, if any. For example, companies
with labour violation are published monthly by labour bureaus of local
governments - all in different format. So clearly the Ministry of
Labour is doing a poor job setting up standards or workflow for
producing this type of data. We'd also want to add pointer to data
cleaned and aggregated by the community, and their application. In
this case, there are community-created csv files and a chrome
extension that pops up labour violation when you view companies on
major recruiter websites in Taiwan.

The actual datasets for census are obtained from another site -
data.g0v.tw, which is a DKAN instance. datasets created with a
"census" tag will be loaded to local.data.g0v.tw allowing user
submission.

Please let me know if you have any comment or would be interested in
doing similar type of census in your area.
