Hi Ana,

Welcome to the census mailing list.

I had written a longer introduction email to the Portuguese open data scene, but then went to read Ricardo’s answer that arrived while i was writting and lost my mail by mistake in the process. :D

So here is the short version:

There are a few localized communities of open data folks in Portugal as Ricardo mentioned.

There is even an awareness event starting tommorow in Coimbra!!!
http://rawopendata.ipn.pt/

Most active communication channel is the transparência hackday mailing list.

I run a blog to keep track of things i find related to Portuguese Open Data:
http://opendata-pt.blogspot.com

You can find the Portuguese global census here:
http://global.census.okfn.org/place/pt
There are a few pending review items, don’t know who is admin for that is.

I am “leading” the quest for the Portuguese _cities_ census, you can find them here:
http://pt-city.census.okfn.org/
Still a lot to fill out, contributions are ofcourse more then welcome. Whenever i find a little free time i been filling out some of the info and mailing some people asking about the state of things in some departments, and asking folks to help out with the cities they live in. Not many other people helping out currently, i should probably try to organize a sprint call to get more people to contribute. :S

Regards,
Filipe Cruz

The groups are loosely connected and have been working on open data initiatives for some time.

As far as I understood from the video at [1] the forms for submitting datasets have enough information about all the questions. What I would like to know, however, is if this detailed information is available in a downloadable document (word, html,...) and, if yes, where I can find it.
