[Open-data-census] The mailing list is changing home - we are moving to OK Discuss!

Hello all,

As part of  the preparation for this year Global Open Data Index, we would
like to start with the Index most important component, its community, and
to officially move to a new space for deliberating and exchanging ideas -
The Discuss forum.

In the last couple of months we have tried to move some of the Github and
mailman discussions to a new home - The OK discuss forum.
<https://discuss.okfn.org/>Discuss is based on discourse
<https://github.com/discourse>, an open source message forum which allows
better features from the mailman lists - you can follow threads, tag
members, search on threads and many more!

In the next couple of days I will send all of those who didn't join yet an
invite to the OK Global Data Index Discuss, but meanwhile, here is how you
can join the forum yourself:

1. Go to - https://discuss.okfn.org and click on Sign Up
2. Enter your details.
3. Log in to the system and choose Open Data Index Category.
4. At the top right hand side of the page there are three icons -

Click on the right hand side icon (the circle). This will help you to set
up you notification preferences. Discourse default is *not* to send you any
messages, unless your name is mentioned. If you want to keep up to date
with the Index, you should change it. :-)

That's it, all done!

If you have any trouble to join, send a message to this list or shoot me an
email.
