Another major development this month was the announcement of the U.S.* *“aid
transparency initiative<http://publishwhatyoufund.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1ed69ef02e1bafb8d4f43b1fa&id=eaf799741a&e=c62a864d1b>”,
as part of the U.S. strategy for reaching the
MDGs<http://publishwhatyoufund.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1ed69ef02e1bafb8d4f43b1fa&id=b226ef1afc&e=c62a864d1b>.
We hope this promise will be followed soon by a timeline for delivering the
policy paper to implement it, and more details of the piloting process.

The lack of transparency in the draft *UN MDG Outcome Document* prompted us

“Reform within Reach” campaign. The

asks
President Obama to develop a Global Development Strategy and rewrite the
U.S. Foreign Assistance Act.

The *Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs* has put all its development
cooperation activities in an online

both Estonian and English.

The *Liberian Minister of Finance*, Augustine Ngafuan, made the case for the

an aid management conference where he spoke about accountability, increasing
