Safe the Date! At the end of September 2011 there will be an open aid data event in Berlin. Organisers are OpenAid, OpenKnowledgeFoundation Germany, the OpenDataNetwork and the Böll Foundation.
On the 28th the OpenknowledgeFoundation Germany will organise a hackday using aid data. Parallel to the Hackday aidinfo from UK will do a training on the use of data in development policy. On the 29th there will be a conference with presentations on IATI and aid effectiveness, examples for the use of open data in development cooperation (AidData) and in other sectors as well as debate on transparency and publication of open data by NGOs.
For the Hackday on the 28th programmers and data enthusiasts are invited. The training is offered for NGO policy staff. For the conference the target group is NGO representatives, parliamentarians, journalists and experts interested in aid effectiveness.
More information will be available on this list soon.
Greetings
Claudia
