Hello all

Thanks Claudia for encouraging action on this. Quick updates for everyone:

I've updated the pad at
http://opengovernmentdata.okfnpad.org/open-development-okfest2012 with
space for us to start planning each of the individual sessions and
activities, including an NGO outreach and 'family meeting'. Please create
pads and start inputting to any sessions you are/want to be involved in.

I've started the 'open development and aid' session planning in a pad here
http://okfnpad.org/okfest-opendev-aid and would welcome input.

There is a draft brief to get funding for participants from the South here:
http://bit.ly/L61Lm0 - please take a look, add comments, or adapt and use
to go to your contacts to encourage them to engage. OKFest registration
opens on *14th June, *and is likely to fill up quickly.

Those are the quick bits, more thoughts in-line below:

Land Coalition have put in some great submissions to the second round of
sessions, so it would be great to explore a Land Coalition element to the
hack-day sessions. I believe for Pernilla there needed to be an aid data
focus to some of it to help get Sida support, but I may be wrong on that...

Definitely sounds like a good idea. I like the idea of having the focussed
discussions about what we do during a visit to the Plan offices - as it
takes us out of the OKFest organised chaos, to have a bit more space for
discussion, and then perhaps we can also, once the wider calendar of
evening events becomes clear, plan for one evening just agreeing to all
head for a meal somewhere together.

All the best

Tim
