Dear All

A provisional programme
<http://linkedup-project.eu/files/2014/03/MIM_Programme.pdf> is now
available for the Making it Matter: Supporting education in the
developing world through open and linked data, a free one-day workshop
organised by the LinkedUp Project and the Commonwealth of Learning in
London, UK on Friday 16th May, 2014.

Speakers include Venkataraman Balaji (Director, Technology & Knowledge
Management, Commonwealth of Learning), Tom Salmon (Teacher and open
development researcher), Stefan Dietze (LinkedUp Project) and Christophe
Gueret (DANS NL and WorldWide Semantic Web). There are also a series of
interactive breakout sessions.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together software developers,
educators and individuals from the development community to see how they
can work together by using open and linked data to support education in
the developing world.

A limited number of spaces

are still available for the workshop.

We have also now set up a form so people can register
<https://docs.google.com/a/okfn.org/forms/d/1r7y2MJZ_OYzdfWCv7yhDAPN49LR69UmnE5ekM3Kn_zU/viewform>
if they are interested in remote participation on the day. Talks will be
streamed and there will be opportunities to participate online in
break-out sessions.

Looking forward to meeting you at the Making it Matter Workshop!

Thanks

Marieke
