Dear All,
In the second in our series of blog posts on open education around the
world Bernard Nkuyubwatsi, a PhD research student at the Institute of
Learning Innovation, University of Leicester, has written about the
current situation in Rwanda.
Despite successful initiatives such as Open Learning Exhange Rwanda
<http://olerwanda.org/promoting-public-health-and-environment-rwandan-schools>
and One Laptop per child <http://laptop.org/map/rwanda>, and the
establishment of distance learning programmes using OERs, opening up
education in Rwanda continues to be a struggle due to economic issues.
Read more about the situation in Open Education Rwanda

If you would like to write about open education activities in your
country please do get in touch <http://education.okfn.org/involved/>.
Thanks
Marieke
