Don't think this got to the list...not sure why...

Victoria - A quick answer to your question.

Take a look at:
http://booktype.okfn.org/open-education-handbook/_draft/_v/1.0/open-data-use-cases/

Others may be better at distilling what's there.

Dear All,

I've recently joined the Open Education Group of the OKFN, and would
like to share an education project we're working on.

We are currently building ScoalaMea.md, a website for enabling the
public to monitor the schools performance. You can see info on the
project here: http://expert-grup.org/en/proiecte/item/916-gpsa-moldova.

For starters, we've put up the planned expenditures for all the schools
in Moldova (2014), on http://www.budgetstories.md/bugetul-scolii-2014/,
until we build the new website. There is budget expenditure for 2013 and
investment for capital repairs, data displayed using OpenSpending's treemap.

I would like to ask you if you could share interesting examples of
websites that do a good job in presenting and visualizing public school
data (budgets, number of students?).

In your experience, what are best indicators of school performance
you've seen (such as: grades versus expenditures, teacher salaries etc).

We would really appreciate your thoughts and contribution.

Many thanks,
Victoria
