[Open-education] The University of the People is now accreditated

let me lead your attention for a moment to the University of the People:

A German newspaper (Die Zeit, you may have heard about it due to Snowden
leaks) has published an article on Feb 21st, announcing that the UotP is
now accreditated:

For those of you, how have not heard about the university, I've picked
an article in the Washington Post from 2011, which explains it pretty
understandable, imho:

I'm not finally sure, how _open_ the education their is, but it's a nice
template of how to collaborate and sketch up courses. Note, that they
focus on text-only resources to save bandwidth (think of Africa et al.!).

It may be worthy for the community in this aspect :-)
