In case anyone is in London on May 19th and is interested in being
involved in the Open Coalition.
The background behind this is an attempt to unite those working in the
field of open who are building communities. It would be great to have
the open education community represented in some way ;-)
Have a good weekend.

Dear friends
You're invited to the very first event hosted by the Open Coalition and
we couldn't be more excited! We'll be having a meet & greet and
brainstorm session on Monday 19 May 2014, and we'd love to see you
there. All you need to bring is yourselves, and your ideas - we can't
wait to meet you. Please feel free to spread this message to all your
networks, the more people who join us, the better. For more details,
have a look below, and on our wiki
<https://wikimedia.org.uk/wiki/Open_Coalition>. And if you have any
questions, drop us a line!
*When:* Mon, May 19, 4pm
*Where:* Wikimedia UK Offices and online.
*Why?* To help us start building the Open Coalition (and as an excuse to
see old friends, make new ones and have a drink)
Join us in London to meet Bekka Kahn, the new co-ordinator at the Open
Coalition, and get involved in building the coalition. We'll talk about
improving communication, sharing experiences and start mapping out plans
for the next 6 months. We'll also have a dial-in set up for those who
are outside the UK, so everyone can take part.
See you then.
Bekka
