Greetings Open Education Friends:

FYI re: CC integration in Moodle (via Andy Begga):

   - Moodle plugin versions of the Xpert Attribution Service
   <http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xpert/attribution/> which allows users to
search for CC licensed images (on Flickr and Wikimedia) and automatically
add the rights holder info to the image to support reuse.

   - Users can also upload their own images and attribute themselves to
support appropriate reuse of their own images.

To: OER-DISCUSS at jiscmail.ac.uk

Dear all

Some of the OER/Moodle community may find these plugins useful (please
excuse the plug). At Nottingham, we have just released a Moodle plugin
versions of the Xpert Attribution Service
<http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xpert/attribution/> which allows users to
search for CC licensed images (on Flickr and Wikimedia) and automatically
add the rights holder info to the image to support reuse. Users can also
upload their own images and attribute themselves to support appropriate
reuse of their own images.

Now, with the support of Jisc in the UK, three Moodle plugins have been
released to simplify the attribution of rights holder info to images used
in Moodle courses. You can download them all from here:

Search, download and attribute rights holder info to open images from Flickr

https://moodle.org/plugins/view/repository_xpert_flickr_public

Attribute rights holder info to images from a url

https://moodle.org/plugins/view/repository_xpert_url

Directly upload and attribute rights holder info to images (can support
users in making their own images openly available)
