Dear Fabio and colleagues,

Sorry for my late response. I have been managing a much higher number of
emails than usual lately due to the online exercise of the OpenEdu
framework on openness for HE institutions. We are involving over 60 experts
altogether.I believe many of you in this list will know about this
exercise (and some are participating, thanks).
Glad to hear to you liked the presentation, Fabio. We were at the EDEN
conference in Barcelona on the occasion, and I was reporting on preliminary
findings of the OpenEdu study.
I am afraid I cannot spare time for writing the blog post at the moment
although I see its value. I am hoping, however, that the upcoming OpenEdu
Project final report will summarise some of the main issues we find in our
studies.
We are covering quite a lot on institutional barriers and motivations for
embracing open education, and there will be a section on policies too.
I will leave a link for the OpenEdu
<http://is.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pages/EAP/OpenEdu.html>project page for the
time being, which we are carrying out on behalf of DG EAC.

Happy to discuss it further when we finalise the feedback/validation
process.

Best regards,
Andreia
DG JRC IPTS
