[Open-education] MOOC survey and European, more social MOOC model

There is increasing evidence that a distinct European MOOC model<http://openuped.eu/disclaimer/15-english-content/news/179-european-mooc-model> is emerging. Already four independent European studies conclude that the European HEIs are much more involved in MOOCs compared to for example US. Stephen Downes in his OLDaily state<http://www.downes.ca/archive/16/12_16_news_OLDaily.htm> that 'Europe has embraced the MOOC and is creating its own distinct flavour'.

The reasons behind this, seems related to the inclusive-social dimension of the European education system and/or related to dimensions of open education.
