[OpenGLAM] GLAM in other languages

As for Denmark, my sense is that the GLAM acronym is not in wide use outside the local OpenGLAM community. My suspicion is that the term is really a global community thing, not much used outside our own circles. So whenever I use it I always explain the acronym by routine.
Best,
Merete

Our French speaking colleagues at Wikimedia Canada appear to use GLAM in
some capacity:
http://wikimedia.ca/wiki/Projets/GLAM
It is an English language brand, and a lot of us are trying to
popularize it, and it is slowly working in the US and UK, it seems. In
the US they tend to say "LAM" as calling things "galleries," isn't as
popular as it appears to be in the UK/Australia. (Even though we do have
a National Gallery and lots of non-profit galleries - which I'm bias
towards, since I come from the private sector art gallery world <aka
selling art> and I'd love to do more partnership development regarding
historical and contemporary galleries and Open stuff...so this American
still uses GLAM!)
GLAM is also a wonderful excuse to use David Bowie in my presentations.
