I have been referred to your email list, with my enquiry.

I was previously General Manager of an online copyright and digital rights management company in Australia (within the vocational education sector) where we developed a series
of licences to encourage free sharing of resources. It was a similar concept to Creative Commons although we also had a range of commercial licences as well.

I am now a volunteer guide at one of Australia’s leading art galleries, QAGOMA (www.qagoma.qld.gov.au <http://www.qagoma.qld.gov.au/>), and an about to submit
an application for a small research grant, where I am trying to find galleries/museums that are finding cutting edge ways to reach out to their communities
through use of new technologies (digitising content), specialised programs, interactive and virtual reality experiences, virtual workshops, etc

and the particular interest is how these innovations impact on how the personal guide/docent role might change in the future?
What new skills will guides need, how do they complement these innovations,

If you know of galleries/museums where an innovation has been innovated, that I might be able to visit down the track, I would be most grateful.

kind regards from Australia.
