Hello all,

I wanted to let everyone know about an up-coming event in Boulder, CO. But
before I do that let me introduce myself to the group.

My name is Brian Gryth. I am an attorney (actual title is Legislative and
Legal Analyst) in the United State for the State of Colorado. I am an open
government and "government 2.0" advocate (some might say evangelist). I am
also an invited expert with the W3C eGovernment Interest Group. I am also
part of a project called the Colorado Open Data Initative which is part of a
group call Colorado Smart Communities. Which brings me to the annoucement

Tomorrow, June 12, 2010, the first Gov 2.0 Camp Rocky Mountains will take
places in Boulder, Colorado. We are providing a live stream of the camp at
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/gov-2-0-camp-rocky-mountains. The stream will
be broken into segments and the schedule is available at the above link as
well. These recording will also be available after the camp.

In addition, you may follow the back channel with the hashtag #rmg2c.

Two colleagues amd I will be announcing the deployment of a prototype of
data platform and community for all levels of Colorado government. The
infrastructure is pretty much data.gov.uk. The CKAN and UK folks have been
extremely helpful in helping out the brains of the operation, Sean
Hudson. In the next few months, we will be making efforts to build the
platform and its community. I will update this group as we progress.
Please also feel free to contact me.

Thanks,
Brian Gryth
