November 9, 2010

About the Event: In 2009 President Obama called into life the Open Government Initiative. This initiative aims to provide "an unprecedented level of openness in government" and to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration.

     · The role of the XML standards supporting the Open Government Initiative
(e.g., Akoma Ntoso, CEN Metalex, eCourt)

     · The role of standardization bodies (OASIS, OMG, etc.) and how they can help the
government and industry accelerate the pace towards open government.

 Panelists:

     · Peter Brown, Chairman, Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information
       Standards (OASIS)

     · Jim Cabral, Senior Manager, Justice Information Technology Management,
