hi, all

The Minister of Finance and Minister of Internal Affairs have just
jointly released the Declaration on Open and Transparent Government,
and new Data and Information Management Principles. Go to
http://www.ict.govt.nz

You all know that this work has been very collaborative, with the
principles reflecting the discussions at the Open Data workshop at
LINZ on 18 May. And of course, many of you have been active in this
area over the last three years or so. Thanks again for your hard work
and dedication.

The next stage is providing guidance and advice for agencies releasing
public data for re-use, and also helping others re-use the public
data.  I am looking forward to continuing to work with you.
