Hi Jonathan
Great ideas for satellite events :)
* Transparency Hackers and the London Datastore might want to do
> something on organising hackdays
I think it's a good idea, and it would be great if we could add some of the
experience that people had on the International Open Data Hackathon to
this... Or maybe using it as a workday to organize the next one?
Here in the Transparency Hackers - Brazil community, we have also been using
ScraperWiki a lot (thanks for existing, ScraperWiki!). In the last few
months, we started a weekly workshop to teach non-programmers (some
journalists like me included!) to use it to get data from government and
media websites (what is key, as we barely have open government data to work
on here). We have some projects running ScraperWiki over brazilian Senate
website, so count on us for that too...
I still don't know how many of us will be able to take part in the event in
Warsaw, but I would love to collaborate around something (and we can try to
set up a group working remotely from Brazil as well).
