Hi all,

As of today, the Open Data Census 2012 has been launched!

You can read our announce blog post here:
http://blog.okfn.org/2012/04/17/launching-the-open-data-census-2012/.

The Open Data Census will attempt to assess the status of Open Government
Data across the world. It will focus on specific datasets (election
results, government budgets, laws and statutes etc) and examine whether
that data in each country is **open** - i.e. available in a digital,
machine-readable format under an open license.

We would really appreciate your help both in publicising the Census, and in
filling it in! It only takes a few minutes to submit information on one
dataset for one country. You can complete as few or as many submissions as
you like.

To contribute to the Census, please visit:
http://opengovernmentdata.org/census/submit/

All feedback and submissions will be much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Laura
