FYI, the New Zealand Data and Information Re-use Chief Executives’ Steering Group recently released a progress report "2012 Report On Agency Adoption of the New Zealand Declaration on Open and Transparent Government". [1]
The report gives several successful examples of reuse of government data including a mobile app for delivery of fishing regulations [2] and a "before you dig" service for street contractors. The survey has some raw data that mentions additional case studies [3].
