[open-government] Survey on data produced in recent years and trend

Hi Austina,

This won't fully answer your question, but here at the Open Knowledge
Foundation we are currently carrying out a similar survey.

The Open Data Census 2012 is an attempt to find out how open government
data is across the world. You can see the results we've already collected
(and contribute more) here:

It would be interesting to hear what other reports and studies you find.
