[open-government] open data day 2012

Dear David,

As th eperson that initiated the subject, I wanted to clarify that my
question wasn't meant to prod you - though I appreciate the information
you've sent. To be honest - and this is my fault - I wasn't actually
aware this was so much your initiative, and that's why I posed the
question as a general one, on this list. .

I can only say that the fact that here in Poland quite a few people are
saying to themselves, "what's happening with ODD this year" is proof of
the great work you've been doing. :)

I'm really happy as it seems that ODD can be restarted for this year,
and we're happy to join and help to some extent. We will surely be
organizing an ODD event in Warsaw. With regard to timing, I don't see a
problem with moving it a bit, but I would suggest that we shouldn't
delay it too much - maybe sometime in January?

I would also suggest that we do not limit this year the activities to a
certain theme. What I liked about ODD is that on one hand it's quite a
specific global action - on the other hand everyone could fit into it
things that interest them. So we could have an 'OGP track', but let's
not make it exclusive.

Best,

Alek
