[open-government] Building an inventory of open data portals in Scotland

Hi everyone,

I’ve been building a list of 'open data portals' in Scotland, i.e. places where collections of (mostly government) data are published in a more-or-less open way.

The list is just a CSV file on GitHub: https://github.com/okfnscot/open-data-scotland/blob/master/scotland-data-portals.csv

There is a slightly prettier HTML page generated from the CSV: http://okfnscot.github.io/open-data-scotland/

And I wrote a short blog post which provides some context: http://scot.okfn.org/2014/04/24/scotlands-open-data/

I am curious to see whether putting the information up on GitHub will make it easier for others to contribute. Nothing has come in so far, but it’s relatively early days.

Regards,

Ewan
