[open-government] FINODEX project open call. Looking for business initiatives interested in reuse of open data

Dear all,

Sorry for cross-posting. 

I’d like to introduce to everyone an EU-initiative looking for projects interested in the commercial reuse of open data in Europe.

FINODEX, Future Internet Open Data Expansion [1], is a virtual accelerator for start-ups and entrepreneurs looking for support and funds to take their open data reuse ideas into the market. Our first open call for proposals is open till the 19th of December. The proposals must prove the re-use of existing open datasets (from any origin) and the use of FIWARE technologies [2] to be eligible.

An introductory kit for proposers can be found here [3]. We will be funding the selected initiatives from €10k to €170k depending the stage they reach in our overall programme.

Beneficiaries can be SMEs (individual projects) or individuals (up to 4 in the same team) from any EU28 or FP7-Associated country. In case you want to meet us we will be leading a session in SharePSI Workshop in Lisbon [4] and be present Codemotion event in Milan [5] during the following weeks.
