All,
We are thrilled to see that so many of you
<https://docs.google.com/a/sunlightfoundation.com/spreadsheets/d/1H0VtICHIsKxl2xDaerNLpRR0xTzRZZ1VtEqVMRq8r1U/edit#gid=0>
have already endorsed the *OpenUpYourLegislature!* campaign. For those of
you who have not yet: there`s still time to join us for the Global
Legislative Openness Week <http://www.openingparliament.org/glow> (GLOW)
and sign the public letter we intend send out to all the national
legislatures around the globe calling them to make parliamentary data "open
data by default".
You can find the letter attached as a PDF, ODT and in a viewable google
document.

If you want to endorse the campaign, please let us know before COB
September 10.
We still encourage everyone to not only sign on but also translate the
document to your local language and try to get some local media attention
through press releases, social media or other media hooks. We are planning
to send out the letter to every legislature *in English on September 15* as
a global community of CSOs, but local translations can reinforce the effort
and strengthen the message. Also, reach-out to the media might make the
most sense if planned for the same week.
FYI everyone, we already have translations in Spanish (from Spain), LATAM
Spanish, Hebrew, Bahasa Indonesian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. We are
expecting translations in French, Russian and Kyrgyz. Please let us know if
you would like to add another language or if we’re missing something.
Here`s the link to folder with translations, it should be publicly
viewable:

Also, many of you mentioned that the list of the current presidents of
national assemblies
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_presidents_of_assembly> is
incorrect, which is why we’re working to verify the data ourselves. If you
can provide verification for who the head of your national legislature is,
that would still be very helpful!
Thanks,
The Sunlight team
