[open-humanities] Your Paintings

The PCF, in association with the BBC, are crowdsourcing tags for
paintings in UK public collections:

http://www.thepcf.org.uk/your_paintings

[Obviously it's too much to hope for that the otherwise excellent PCF
would make their images available under a Free licence (or recognise the
impropriety of copyright on photographs of public domain art), but I
digress. ;-) ]

This publicly created dataset should be publicly available under an Open
Knowledge licence. It doesn't seem to be.

A couple of us have tweeted the PDC about this, but they haven't quite
understood the question:

Is there anyone on here from the PDC, or does anyone know them? I think
embracing Open Knowledge would really help their public engagement in
this project.
