[open-science] analysis of gene wikis?

Better than a search engine :)

One question I had (not having looked through the whole list in
detail): are those projects producing "data" or human-readable
summaries (encyclopaedia articles) -- or a mixture of both. (Also, not
knowing the area well: is there a difference? I.e. are there agreed
ways of putting out "structured" information about gene and protein
function or is it just "free text"?)

In any case it's a fantastic listing and it would be worth adding to
http://www.ckan.net/. If anyone knows of any other listings of *open*
science datasets it would be great to hear about them. BTW: already
listed science "packages" can be found here:
