The World Climate Research Program held a conference in Denver last
week called the Open Science Conference. This was intended to be
parsed as "open science-conference" (a conference open to all
[climate] science disciplines and groups), not "open-science
conference" (which would be something more akin to the Open Science
Summit). An interesting use of the word, and slightly confusing for
people doing open climate science.
