Hi Raniere

Great to hear from you and no problem! So we come up quite frequently
against tech related stumbling blocks. These can be either internal working
group things like making a suitable calendar (Stefan Kasberger has been
working on this) or my current one of how to display the working group
members on a map and in a list on the webpage while allowing people to add
and edit their details. Other times they are to do with linking to projects
like crowdcrafting.org and finding or making tools to accomplish certain
tasks, which we often put forward as challenges at hackdays but currently
no one is seriously tracking progress with them.

This role would be to coordinate solving the problems, not necessarily
needing to get in and fix them personally but getting the devs in the
working group together (we have quite a few but coordination is necessary!)
and also generally thinking about potential tech-related projects. We have
an open-science-dev mailing list but it is underpopulated and underused so
a potential role would be building that community and looking more
specifically at tools for open science, liaising with the CKAN development
team and OKFN Labs http://okfnlabs.org/.

Would any of this be of interest? Just let me know what type of thing you'd
like to get involved in.
If anyone else is able to help with working group web and tool issues
and/or building our tech/dev community then let me know!

Thanks very much for getting in touch :)

Jenny
