Yesterday afternoon / evening and this morning, depending on your timezone ;-) CODATA hosted the first in what we hope will be an ongoing series of webinars http://www.codata.org/events/webinars

The GoToWebinar platform worked very well and feedback has been excellent.

Inviting Webinar Topics
This is something CODATA International would like to do on a regular basis. I shall be very grateful for suggestions of topics and volunteers. Any topics of interest to the CODATA International community and the broader international data community is in scope: from all countries, all scientific unions and research areas, from any CODATA Task Group or other data related initiative. Please feel free to get in touch with me to propose ideas: simon at codata.org

Materials from the first CODATA webinar on the COINAtlantic Data Availability Self-Assessment Tool
The presentation given by Andy Sherin, as well as links to the tool itself and recordings of the two editions of this webinar are available from http://www.codata.org/events/webinars

Please send any comments and suggestions to improve the tool to Andy Sherin at a.sherin at dal.ca or Tel. +1 (0) 902 494-6184

Please note that to accommodate international time differences, the webinar ran twice, at 16.00 UTC on Mon 18 January 2016 and at 01.00 UTC on Tue 19 January. Both recordings are available. Please be aware that the visuals of the slides appear roughly 1 minute or 90 seconds into the recording respectively (this seems to have been the only technical hitch). For the sec on edition the Q&A can be accessed at roughly 90 minutes.

All these materials are also available from the CODATA collection in Zenodo at http://dx.doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.44966

With very best wishes,
