> Since there will be so many key players in the climate knowledge field present in Lima, we take this great opportunity and are organizing the first CKB workshop in Latin America! The goal of this workshop is to initiate and foster collaborative links between climate knowledge brokers from the Latin American region, and to expand the CKB group in South America. The program will be similar to recent CKB workshops and will feature popular sessions like the knowledge sharing clinics. The workshop will span the whole day (9:00 to 17:00 and a dinner) and will be held in Spanish.
>
> Please feel free to forward the invitation (below) to interested individuals and organizations in Latin America!
>
> Official invitation to the workshop (in Spanish), Registration
> Webinar by Griffith University on Climate Knowledge Brokering Activities in the Pacific Region
> December 17, 2014 - 9:00 Vienna/18:00 Brisbane (convert to your time zone) - online
>
> Griffith University, with its Climate Change Response Program, is a leading institution in climate change science and research in Austrialia, promoting a multidisciplinary approach to climate change research inclusive of the environmental, social, economic and governance dimensions. The university is working closely with governmental and non-governmental organizations on a national and international level.
>
> One of Griffith's collaborative projects, the Pacific ICLIM project, works on implementing a regional approach to climate change data and information management throughout the Pacific. Samuel Mackay and his colleagues will give an introduction to their research and will speak about their experiences, challenges and successes in the field.
