Hi,

one more announcement from me - in three weeks I'll be hosting a Creative
Commons Toolkits for GLAM Sprint. Here are some details:

On 20-21 February members of CC community, Wikimedians and open culture
activists from four countries will meet in Krakow (Poland) to create short
articles and infographics on the use of CC licences by cultural heritage
institutions.

Key issues that will be included:

- CC licensing within GLAM (what are the uses, what are the limitations,
what are the best practices?)

- importance of CC0 and licensing cultural metadata; open cultural data

- public domain as a related issue to open licensing and of key importance
to GLAM sector; COMMUNIA and Europeana recommendations with regard to the
public domain

- best practices of cultural institutions working with an open model - a
practical step-by-step guide for GLAM institutions

- CC-licensed GLAM resources on Wikipedia

To check out how we are doing, please follow #cctoolkits or visit our
website: http://creativecommons.pl/CC_GLAM_toolkit (doesn't work yet - in
the meaintime see: http://cctoolkits.com/)
There will be an opportunity for everyone to contribute which I will
explain later on.

see you soon,

Dorota
