[opensourcepharma] TB ambassadors

Dear all,

At OSP1, the Open Source Pharma conference at Bellagio 2014, one of the action items, suggested by MSF and others, was to identify or recruit high profile ambassadors/celebrities to advocate on TB-related issues.  There was talk of a Bollywood film star whose spouse had had TB, and of calling attention to that story.

In India, where most TB cases occur, Amitabh Bacchan (film legend, ex TB patient), and Ratan Tata (chairman of Tata Trusts), have recently become champions in the fight against TB.
