An invitation from the Royal Statistical Society to go to a meeting on
the 7th June!

Who's interested in going along to represent the project? My default
suggestion would be Lisa (plus, perhaps, myself) but would welcome
other volunteers :)

To Whom It May Concern:

The Royal Statistical Society are hosting a round-table discussion on
innovations in the presentation and dissemination of official
statistics using web technologies.

There is a lot of current activity in the way official data could be
made more accessible to the general public through the innovative use
of web technologies. We came across your ‘wheredidmymoneygo’ app on
the data.gov.uk site and were impressed with the innovative way you’ve
made public data more accessible.

The Society believes that the various initiatives complement one
another and that the greatest benefit to end users can come by
aligning activities wherever possible. For this reason we propose a
discussion meeting to share current thinking and proposals, and to
identify any areas of commonality that would benefit from closer
collaboration.

We plan to hold the meeting on Monday 7 June, 10 – 12.30, at our
office in Errol St and would like to invite a relevant person from the
Open Knowledge Foundation to attend the meeting? Please feel free to
contact me if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Liam
