If you're going to make your own demo site, you may want to consider
adapting the code we use to include the search on
http://data.gov.uk/openspending - it's available here:
https://github.com/openspending/data.gov.uk-spending but still
requires a few bits of manual adaptation to become adaptable. This
will also allow you to configure the set of visible columns, by
passing in an appropriate configuration to the table (see
https://github.com/openspending/cameroon.openspending.org/blob/gh-pages/en/nwregion.html#L110
for a semi-applicable example).

Unfortunately, we don't currently support adding more tabs to the main
page on your dataset. Hidden views are technically possible but not
yet accessible from the interface - I should sit down and make that
happen!
