All,

Thanks to a great editing job from Neil, we now have a brand new guide to
OpenSpending. The guide is available from our new help
section<http://blog.openspending.org/help/> and
in this google doc<https://docs.google.com/a/okfn.org/document/d/1-RhyBc7rFgBW78160BA0mxD6cpVZ-PtfM8QL_WEoPqY/edit#heading=h.79vyyu8n203g>,
and based on both previous as well as a lot of newly added material.

We however want communities to be able to work easily with OpenSpending
across the world and languages. We are therefore calling those of you with
language skills to help us translate the OpenSpending guide into multiple
languages.

Already, members have signed up to translate the guide into Spanish, Nepali
and Romanian. Big shouts outs to Ana Sofia, Prakash and Victoria, for
taking the initiative on this!

How to get started translating?
You can easily sign up with a language by adding your name to this Trello
ticket<https://trello.com/c/abfAVgBC/14-openspending-guide-translation-sprint-august-9th-to-august-23rd>on
the OpenSpending Trello board. If
you need help getting started using our Trello board, you can go
here<https://trello.com/c/xeGcPRCv/1-read-this-first-to-get-started>to
learn more. Then
simply head over to the translator
tips<https://docs.google.com/a/okfn.org/document/d/1-RhyBc7rFgBW78160BA0mxD6cpVZ-PtfM8QL_WEoPqY/edit#heading=h.ym1luowa2lf8>
that
we have added to the OpenSpending guide.

If you need help, don't forget to reach out to the mailing list!
