[OpenSpending] IMF call about the Fiscal Transparency Code -- Thursday May 13th @ 10am EST

Hi all,

Last year in August, several of members from the OpenSpending community
helped write a response<https://docs.google.com/a/okfn.org/document/d/1mKbLL11XA9uDGRxH981BZUtURW3kty7Bb2iTvCJU7_Q/edit#heading=h.rszjlco43yt0>to
the revision of the IMF Transparency
Code.

On Thursday next week there will be a call with IMF about the feedback from
OpenSpending and the many other civil society groups who commented (see
details below). The OpenSpending response is included in the list of
responses to the IMF consultation
<http://www.imf.org/external/np/exr/consult/2013/fisctransp/Comments.pdf>

If anyone would be interested in attending the call, and possibly brief

As you may recall, last year you participated in a public
consultation<http://www.imf.org/external/np/exr/consult/2013/fisctransp/>on
the IMF’s Revised Draft of the Fiscal Transparency Code. We would like
to follow up on the comments submitted by civil society and update you on
the status of the Code.

*We will be hosting a conference call with the staff from the IMF’s Fiscal
Affairs Department on Tuesday, May 13 at 10:00 AM EST*.

If you would like to participate in the call, please let us know by *Thursday,
May 8*, and we will send you the dial-in information. Please copy Ms.
Anneta Orraca-Tetteh (AOrracaTetteh at imf.org) in your communications.
