Ahoy,
I mentioned this a while ago but it's now finalised. I'll be talking about PD
Burn at the iCommons summit in Rio next weekend, so this is an invitation for
people to do a little work before hand to really make the project shine :)
The other three speakers are:
- Joshua Fouts, Director, USC Center on Public Diplomacy
- Andres Guadamuz, ccScotland
- Brian Fitzgerald, ccAustralia
After the usual panel with questions we'll split into four groups and
facilitate practical discussions about developing tools, policy and good
practice for forty minutes. This part in particular could be really useful in
developing the project, getting feedback, etc.
So, as I understand it we have the data for 1900 ripped from the British
Library web site, which with a little work could be shoved into a wiki to at
least have a vague proof of concept site up and running. If we could get that
up by next Thursday that would be amazing!
Other useful things would be updates and ideas that aren't fully written out
on the PD Burn wiki pages.
Regards,
Tom
