Hi Jonathan and the others
unfortunately nobody from EEAR can come to the PD Calculators Meeting
next week, but here are two things I can offer:
1) is the PD flow chart for Germany - promise... I'll try to finalise it
asap
2) at a conference I met a publisher for legal tools from Munich. They
are specialised in family law calculation programs (alimony mostly) and
have been working on a tool that allows non-coders like lawyers and
others to update/build calculation rules themselves. They went that way
because it is not easy to find people who are educated in both law and
C++. As the rule builder tool can handle almost any kind of data and is
absolutely flexible, it could probably be used to code the PD flow
charts very easily. It produces DLLs which can run on Windows and Unix
Systems and a testbed install could be set up on one of the EEAR servers.
If you have time to discuss this idea, let me know what you think about it.
best regards
John
