Dearl All,

The next Public Domain Day, 1 January 2012, is approaching fast!

This time will enter into the public domain (barring some always
possible legal loophole) the works of (personal selection)

  * Henri Bergson (philosopher)
  * Robert Baden-Powell (founder of the Boy Scouts movement)
  * James Joyce (writer)
  * Virginia Woolf (writer)
  * James Frazer (anthropologist)
  * Rabindranath Tagore (philosopher, poet, Nobel prize)
  * Louis D Brandeis (US Supreme Court Justice)
  * Gaetano Mosca (political scientist and much more)
  * Marina Ivanovna Cvetaeva (poetess and writer)

(if you know other great authors or if you find mistakes in
the above list, please share!)

Does anyone think of organizing a PD Day meeting?
It can be very simple, just a public gathering with readings,
remix, etc.

If you do, please let us know: like in 2010 and in 2011,
we would be glad to keep using the PD Day website,
http://publicdomainday.org/, as a central information
point for PD Day celebrations worldwide.

On the same site you can find information about
the previous years celebrations.
