ROBERT BADEN-POWELL'S ENTOMOLOGICAL ENTRIGUES

Announcing two brand new features for the site....

Curator's Choice

We are very excited to have launched last week a brand new series –
“Curator’s Choice <http://publicdomainreview.org/curators-choice/>”. On
the first Tuesday of each month we shall feature a special guest post
from a gallery, library, archive or museum curator reflecting upon a
group of works in one of their open <http://opendefinition.org/> digital
collections – that is, public domain material which has had no
restrictions placed on it as it’s been digitised and made available
online. This new series aims to be a celebratory spotlight on both the
institutions making the exciting steps of openly licensing their digital
collections and also the curators that work everyday with such
collections – as well, of course, as being a celebration of the content
itself.

The inaugural post of the series from the British Library’s Phil
Hatfield and Andrew Gray....

*Animated Gifs*

In this brand new part of the site we present animated GIFs which have
been created from public domain material. We’ve teamed up with GIF
masters Okkult Motion Pictures who will provide regular contributions
but we are also welcoming submissions from other sources so please do
get in touch if you’ve got something to offer – email:
submissions at publicdomainreview.org
<mailto:submissions at publicdomainreview.org>.
