Thanks Jonathan.  BTW, SourceWatch seems to be a pretty good source of
background material on a lot of these organizations.  It's not easily
machine accessible, but it's very rich for human readers.  For example, it
says the NFIB Legal Foundation
<http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/NFIB's_Legal_Arm> is
actually a separate 501(c)3 (and the organization has a number of others
such as the NFIB Young Entrepreneurs Foundation).

I fleshed out a little bit of the corporate tree

but more could probably dug out of OpenCorporates if someone wanted:

which
is only a year and a half old, but spending millions of dollars.
