[School-of-data] A call for journalists to enhance global data literacy

Thank you, Friedrich

I will start with answering the second question so it makes clear the first
one.

Infogram.org is a non-profit initiative (note the difference from
organisation). It doesn't state to be independent. It's rather a base for
Infogr.am's social mission to enhance data literacy world wide.

Infogr.am is a service that is widely used (1,3M people across the world).
It enables people to create infographics, but the tool is not a solution.
Do you agree? Therefore Infogr.am takes responsibility to enhance data
literacy (ability to "read" and "write" data) and asks people to help in
enhancing it. We have developed some formats that teaches data literacy
(not advertises Infogr.am). These are universal principles that could be
applied regardless of a tool.

Fredrich, if you believe in the importance of data literacy as a critically
essential skill in the age of information, you are welcome to apply.

I hope it answers your questions.
