Betreff: [OpenCon] Next OpenCon Community Webcast - December 11th!

Hi Everyone,

On Friday, December 11th, at 6pm GMT/1pm EDT, Bianca Kramer and Jeroen Bosman will join us for our final OpenCon Community Webcast for 2015. They’ll discuss innovation in scholarly communication and how new tools are changing researcher’s workflows. You'll be able to watch here: www.opencon2015.org/changing_research_workflows<http://www.opencon2015.org/changing_research_workflows>

Bianca and Jeroen are librarians at Utrecht University Library conducting a global survey<http://101innovations.wordpress.com/> on research tool usage. They also maintain a partly crowdsourced database<http://bit.ly/innoscholcomm-list> of online tools for all phases of the research cycle. Their survey aims to empirically test researchers' choices for openness, transparency and/or efficiency in their workflows, across disciplines, career stages and countries, and has garnered 6,500 responses so far. With the survey available in 5 languages—and soon to be 7—this might be the biggest multilingual survey into how open researchers really are in their work. All results will become public, for anyone to analyze.
It would be great if you let us know your coming by RSVPing here<http://www.opencon2015.org/changing_research_workflows>.

Thanks so much everyone,

Joe
