Organized jointly by the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria), the Austrian Academy of Science (ÖAW), and the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) we are pleased to cordially invite you to the talk by Jan Velterop as part of the lecture series "New Trends in Scholarly Communication“ :

Peer Review – limitations, future development, alternatives 

Peer review is almost universally seen as the crux of scientific journal publishing. But there are ways to make peer review more reliable and transparent, and much cheaper to the scientific community. Jan Velterop, a science-publisher, recently proposed a way to reform peer review. At IST Austria he will talk about peer review, its limitations, future development and possible alternatives.

Where: Raiffeisen Lecture Hall, IST Austria, Klosterneuburg

A free shuttle bus is provided from TU (Resselgasse 1) at 4:00 pm.
