This is for the organizer or coordinator of each panel to send to panel 
participants along with any other panel-specific info. I will personally 
mail Hardware, Free Culture/Media, Civic Info.

Dear Panellist,

I am writing to confirm your participation in panel <X> this <date>. 
Regarding format and content:

   * The session will consist of brief talks by each of the speakers 
followed by a discussion.

   * Talk length is around 10 minutues though anything between 5 and 15 
minutes would be fine. We would really like to have the chance to get a 
good discussion going where the audience and the panel can interact in a 
less structured fashion thus, to some extent, shorter is better. Please 
don't go over the 15 minutes if you can possibly help it.

   * Subject matter: the only recommendation is to pitch this at a 
fairly general level. This is a chance to connect with a a wider 
audience and a large proportion of those attending will not be that 
familiar with your specific area. We also think that examples of 
concrete, real world applications or problems would be very effective.

Finally as a panellist, as you have you no doubt already assumed, you 
are warmly welcome to attend any other parts of the WSFII event that you 
wish to -- and we hope very much that you will be able to do so.
