[wsfii-discuss] overregistration

hi wsfii

we have a problem - 219 people have registered, and we only have space
for 200 at any one time in the hall, although the rest of the building
can absorb more.

I'm a bit worried that we didn't say that we had a limit. oops.

I think we might have to shut down registrations, or put people on a
'waiting list' until we know who has confirmed and will definitely be
coming for both days.

There are lots of announcements we should really sent out to the
as-yet-untouched 'announce' list today, including details about what to
bring (old clothes to be 'patched') details about payment (= membership),
the community currency and a questionnaire to get some good feedback
about the event etc.. as well as final programme info and other stuff. We
could include info about a 'waiting list' and encourage people who have
registered but won't be coming to mention that to us and we can rm
them.

cheers,

Saul.
